Anti Ballistics

In anti-ballistics applications, textile fibers are coated with dispersions, for example, and then used as combination materials for fabricating bulletproof vests and other items of clothing. However, the dispersions can also be incorporated in coatings for composite sheet materials, which in turn are used to manufacture lightweight motor vehicle components with the desired antiballistic characteristics.

 Trüb Emulsions Chemie AG has been involved since its establishment in the production of dispersions exclusively for technical applications in the manufacturing industry. Dispersions for antiballistics applications represent a milestone in our traditional manufacturing of water-based products: Trüb Emulsions Chemie AG succeeded in incorporating complex block copolymers and terpolymers in an aqueous dispersion system, thereby achieving its goal of now being able to offer an eco-friendly, water-based alternative to the previous processing technology, which was based exclusively on organic solvents.
