Human Rights Policy Commitment

In line with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance For Responsible Business Conduct and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, we base our Human Rights Policy Commitment on the International Bill of Human Rights and the principles governing the fundamental rights of the International Labour Organization as set out in its Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. We are committed to working towards ensuring the respect of all labour practices and human rights such as outlined in national law as well as international conventions at Trüb Emulsions Chemie AG. We are also committed to engaging in constructive dialogue where appropriate with all our suppliers, customers and other stakeholders to ensure they comply to our commitment to high ethical standards and operate in a responsible and ethical manner.

Trüb Emulsions Chemie AG believes that aligning its internal guidelines and processes, production and supply chain operations towards the achievement of an inclusive, fair, safe and respectful working environment is a key first step to consolidate its commitment to the promotion and protection of human rights for all its stakeholders.

At Trüb Emulsions Chemie AG, we pledge to highlight and challenge issues of harassment or discrimination of any form, including but not limited to sex, age, gender, race, ethnic, religion, political or any other opinion, disability, etc, and provide effective remedies and means of redress to the victims. Therefore, as an employer, we are committed to make sure that:

• our employees are entitled to a fair employment contract that is in line with local legal standards. This goes hand in hand with adequate and fair remuneration;
• our employees’ recreational times are observed, and the holiday entitlement are obtained by everyone;
• our employees receive appropriate clothing, personal protective equipment and other resources to protect their personal safety;
• every individual employee is treated with respect and dignity;
• our employees’ personal development is supported and promoted throughout their professional journey;
• our company adheres to the local minimum age laws and requirements for employment and does not recruit child and forced labours.

As a purchaser, Trüb Emulsions Chemie AG condemns all forms of slavery and exploitative child labour practices and encourages all its suppliers and other service providers not to engage in such practices and to prohibit such practices from their own suppliers and stakeholders. In our TEC-Supplier Assessment Questionnaire, which is distributed to all our suppliers, we encourage our suppliers and service providers to conduct a Corporate social responsibility (CSR) audit and/or obtain a CSR certificate.
